Abigail Abigail is a Quarter Horse/Welsh cross mare who was originally surrendered to Sunrise Equine Rescue in 2009. Prior to her rescue, Abigail was living in a backyard with two other horses and receiving a lack of proper care. She was rehabilitated and then adopted in 2013. Through no fault of her own, Abigail was returned to SER in 2017. Abigail is now in her early twenties and has been ridden and shown in both English and Western since her return. We also use her regularly in our lesson program. For more information on Abigail, please contact us via our ‘Contact’ tab. |
Diablo Diablo is a Shetland Pony gelding who was found as a stallion in 2016. After coming into our care, we gelded him and began his rehabilitation. He was a handful but after continued care and consistent work, he became quite the show pony! He's now used in our lesson program to help teach younger kids about horsemanship. |
Ivory Ivory was surrendered to us in June of 2022 by her owners who could no longer care for her. She is a beautiful 15 year old Quarter Horse mare with a ton of potential. She is currently in rehabilitation to get her down to a good weight and get her into shape. We hope that she will make a great lesson and therapy horse! |
Mae Mae was surrendered to us in December of 2020 by her owners who could no longer care for her. She is a 22 year old Arabian mare who will get a second chance at a new life! She is currently still under rehabilitation and was recently diagnosed with Cushings. Consider donating today to assist in Mae's ongoing care! |
Poppy Poppy is an Appaloosa mare who was surrendered to us in 2021 by her owners. She is blind and underwent surgery to have her left eye removed earlier this year. Poppy requires some extra care and attention due to her lack of eyesight, but enjoys her days out in the pasture! She is also slowly becoming more comfortable under saddle. Consider donating today to help us with Poppy's continued care! |
